Miley Cyrus, sorry for topless shoot

Gossip

Miley Cyrus apologized this week for posing topless, wrapped in a sheet, for Vanity Fair. “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic,’” said the 15-year-old singer, “and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.” She said celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz talked her into the risqué images. “That’s what she wanted me to do, and you can’t say no to Annie.” Vanity Fair said Cyrus and her parents approved the pictures in advance. Cyrus, the star of Disney’s billion-dollar Hannah Montana franchise, also apologized for “silly, inappropriate shots” that appeared on the Internet last week of her flashing her bra for her boyfriend.

With her alleged stalker seated across the room, Uma Thurman read aloud a note from the obsessed fan in a New York City courtroom last week. The actress said she “was completely freaked out” by a card from Jack Jordan with a drawing of an open grave and the message, “My hands should be on your body at all times.” Jordan is accused of harassing Thurman through frequent attempts to contact her. His notes “reflected this relationship that I unfortunately imagined that we had,” he testified, and were “meant to amuse her, to her endear her to me.”
