Yoko Ono is considering a lawsuit against the producers of the new anti-evolution documentary Expelled for using the John Lennon song “Imagine” without permission. The filmmakers said they had a legal right to use a “momentary” section of the song in a scene linking atheism to totalitarianism. The film, which argues that the creationist theory of intelligent design should be taught in public schools, also includes a song by the Killers. The band’s manager said the producers had misled him about the nature of the film, and that he tried to withdraw permission when he found out the real subject.

With her alleged stalker seated across the room, Uma Thurman read aloud a note from the obsessed fan in a New York City courtroom last week. The actress said she “was completely freaked out” by a card from Jack Jordan with a drawing of an open grave and the message, “My hands should be on your body at all times.” Jordan is accused of harassing Thurman through frequent attempts to contact her. His notes “reflected this relationship that I unfortunately imagined that we had,” he testified, and were “meant to amuse her, to her endear her to me.”
