What happened
Transformers star Megan Fox vaulted past fellow actresses Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, and Angelina Jolie, among other more established movie stars, to take the top spot on the FHM annual 100 Sexiest Women in the World list. Jessica Alba, last year’s winner, dropped to No. 3. Jolie came in at No. 12; Paris Hilton was 77th; and Britney Spears barely made it onto the list at No. 100. (Los Angeles Times’ The Dish Rag blog)

Saying that Megan Fox is the hottest woman on the planet isn’t exactly news, said The Hollywood Gossip blog. Loyal readers have probably heard that from us before. “This time, however, our staff isn’t merely expressing our affection for Megan Fox; we’re reporting a scientific fact.”
It will be hard for legions of loyal Jolie fans to take this list seriously, said Thaindian News’ entertainment blog. Not only was Jolie not No. 1—she got bumped out of the top 10! But maybe the new rankings won’t hurt so bad when Jolie’s supporters consider the similarities between her and Fox—both stand apart from the rest because of “charm, the grace and the attitude,” and, of course, the tattoos. “However, it is the pout that is the numero uno reason for their sexiness.”
“Growing fame (or infamy in some cases), a big movie break and a hot boyfriend all seem to play their part,” said Canada’s CTV ShowBiz blog. “Hey, Sarah Larson’s got George Clooney so far. Maybe one out of three will score her a spot on next year's list?” But there have to be a lot of people out there who find it hard to believe that Alba has lost her throne.
